Get ready to make history. The inaugural Mojo Boston Music Festival lands on May 9th, 2026, at one of New England's most iconic civic stages — Boston City Hall Plaza, a sweeping open public space in the heart of Government Center, downtown Boston.
Recast from its monumental brutalist origins into a vibrant, welcoming civic gathering place, the renovated plaza is now a true front yard for the city — and this spring, it becomes Boston's newest music destination. With a main event space that accommodates up to 12,000 visitors, it's built to move a crowd.
Sitting at the geographic and cultural crossroads of the city, the plaza is steps from historic Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, the North End, Beacon Hill, Boston Common, and TD Garden. Easily reachable by every MBTA line and a short walk from both North and South Stations, getting here is as easy as the music feels.
With over 250 trees providing shade, a stunning water feature at Fountain Terrace, and the dramatic downtown skyline framing every set, City Hall Plaza offers a festival experience unlike anything else in Boston.
